Upaya pencegahan Kebakaran Pada Dapur, Kitchen Hood dan Cerobong Udara harus diperhatikan dengan baik mengingat potensi bahaya kebakaran sangat tinggi terutama pada dapur-dapur komersial yang mengolah makanan lebih sering dengan skala yang cukup banyak seperti dapur restoran, kantin karyawan, dapur pabrik, dapur instalasi gizi rumah sakit, dapur barak tentara, dapur kafetaria, dll. Sudah banyak kita mendengar kejadian kebakaran pada area dapur yang menyebabkan kerugian materi, luka-luka, cacat bahkan korban jiwa. Upaya-upaya pencegahan kebakaran pada peralatan memasak pada area dapur khsusunya cerobong pembuangan asap bahkan telah diatur di Peraturan Menteri PU Nomor: 26/PRT/M/2008.
